Apocalyptic Britney - You Know You Love It.

So I know this isn't really local, but the main purpose of this blog is to keep you up to date with ALL music news. Don't worry - I'll be posting soon some cool shows going on this weekend, but this news needed a post all in it's entirety. Britney Spears just released her latest album, "Femme Fatale," last week. The album is fully of heavy synth, catchy riffs and fast beats - and of course, Britney.

Britney's VEVO account on YouTube just released her music video for the single, "Till the World Ends." As a Britney fan, I am obviously biased. But I decided to utilize the media classes I've taken at UT and critically view the video. IT STILL ROCKS.

Aside from the thousands, if not millions, of dollars poured into this video, the quality is still fabulous. Taking place in the future (December 21, 2012) is an interesting point to start at, considering that is the date Mayans predicted the world would end. It appears to be set in an underground dance club in apocalyptic New York. Who better than Britney to throw a sweaty, end-of-the-world dance party?

The video is packed with great visuals and enough energy for even the most anti-Britney fan to start fist pumping.

Unfortunately, you can only watch the video on VEVO, so just click here.
